The Charlie Wilkinson foursome from Charlottetown defeated Summerside’s Lou Nowlan rink 7-5 this afternoon in the final of the Provincial Legion Curling Championships at the Western Community Curling Club in Alberton. Earlier today, Wilkinson beat John Holmes of Summerside 11-5 in the B section final of this double-knockout event to advance to the championship game against A section winner Nowlan. Twelve rinks took part in this event. The Wilkinson team will now advance to the Dominion Legion Curling Championships later this year.
