Four-time PEI Seniors Champion skip Lou Picard passes away

Luella “Lou” Picard  passed away on Saturday in Summerside.  Born in The Pas, Manitoba in 1927, she is survived by her husband Gilbert “Ted” Picard, Summerside; children Gary Picard, Edmonton, AB; Cheryl Picard (Charles Silliphant), Ottawa, ON; Judith MacLellan, Summerside; Rick (Joanne) Picard, Ottawa, ON; Robert (Mary) Picard, Summerside; Brenda Picard, Mount Stewart; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and by a brother Gordon Petersen, BC.

Lou Picard skipped four teams to PEI Senior Women’s curling championships:

Visiting hours are Monday evening from 6-8 at the Moase Funeral Home, with funeral mass Tuesday at 10:30 am at St. Paul’s Church in Summerside. Memorial donations to St. Paul’s Cemetery Fund, the Alzheimer’s Society, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
