After opening the final season’s final event of the Grand Slam of Curling with a 6-4 win over Switzerland’s Sven Michel on Tuesday night, McEwen defeated Sweden’s Niklas Edin rink 8-3 on Wednesday afternoon.
McEwen is now off until Thursday at 1 p.m., when he meets Jeff Stoughton in an all-Winnipeg matchup.
