Brad Gushue special guest at PEI 25th annual Special Olympics Festival

Special Olympics PEI  announced today that Canadian curler Brad Gushue will be attending the 25th Anniversary of the Special Olympics Festival, on June 24th. Gushue, who represents
Newfoundland  and Labrador on the national stage, won a gold medal for Canada at the 2006 Winter Olympics. He is a six time provincial junior curling champion, winning the Canadian Junior title in 2001, before transitioning to a successful career in men’s curling, where he has won eight provincial men’s championships to-date.

Gushue joins an impressive list of celebrity guests already announced for the event, including
Gino Reda, Host of TSN’s That’s Hockey, Gerard “Turk” Gallant,  Assistant Coach of the Montreal Canadiens, Dion Phaneuf, Captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Actress Elisha Cuthbert, and Special Olympics PEI’s Female Athlete of the Year Rachael Loggie. Additional celebrity guests are expected to be announced in the coming days.

The Festival is the largest annual fundraising event for Special Olympics PEI. This two
part event includes a Luncheon in Summerside at Credit Union Place, and a Gala Dinner and Auction in Charlottetown at the Delta Prince Edward Hotel. Tickets for the Luncheon are $35 each, or $275 for a corporate table, while tickets for the Gala are $110 each, or $880 for a corporate table.
