The Shelley Nichols team from Newfoundland and Labrador is unable to compete in the Curl Atlantic Championship event, which starts Thursday, and runs through Sunday at the MacLauchlan Arena at the CARI Complex of UPEI. Cornwall’s Veronica Smith rink, two-time reigning provincial junior champs, have accepted Curl Atlantic’s offer to take their place in the women’s division at the event.
