Former Charlottetown Curling Club President Wellington Gay passes away at 65

CBC is reporting that Wellington Gay of Stratford, a long-time curler and former president of the Charlottetown Curling Club (1998-99 season), as well as former Commodore of the Charlottetown Yacht Club, and a volunteer in both curling and yachting, has passed away at the age of 65. Wellington was a longtime employee of Island Cable and then Eastlink. As a member of the Crossroads Fire Department, he was a six-time winner of the Provincial Firefighters Curling Championship, five times as skip, and once as second.
