It’s McEwen vs Carruthers, and Bowser vs Menard in the Challenge Chateau Cartier semifinals which got underway at 1:30 pm Atlantic in Gatineau QC.
In the 10 am Atlantic quarter-finals, PEI’s Adam Casey rink lost 5-1 to Don Bowser of Kingston ON in 5 ends, while the Brad Gushue team from St. John’s, which includes PEI native Brett Gallant lost 4-3 to Jean Michel Menard of Quebec. Mike McEwen of Winnipeg won by default over Mark Dacey of Halifax, Reid Carruthers of Winnipeg beat Peter de Cruz of Switzerland 5-2. The final goes at 4:30 Atlantic.
