The Matthew MacLean rink from the Maple Leaf Curling Club in O’Leary and the Cornwall Curling Club, and the Veronica Smith team from Cornwall are both competing in the 21st annual JSI-OVCA Junior Superspiel this weekend at various clubs in the Ottawa area. The MacLean squad lost their opener 10-2 to 2013 Canadian Junior Men’s champ Matt Dunstone of Winnipeg, while the Smith foursome lost 8-2 to the Molly Greenwold team from Kitchener-Waterloo. The men’s and women’s event finals go Sunday at 5 pm Atlantic.
