Curl PEI, in partnership with the Canadian Curling Association (CCA) Information Services and Technology Department, and with Curl Atlantic, will be using the CCA’s Curlcast competition results platform to present up-to-date scoring for its provincial championship events, and for some other events, this season. Curlcast will debut this weekend with the Pepsi Atlantic Curling Tour Cashspiel at the Silver Fox, and will be used for the Canada Winter Games selection finals on the 29th and 30th.

The Curlcast results system is hosted on a CCA/ Curl Atlantic server, and runs the CCA’s new-and-improved CurlCast program. Curlcast has been used for many years for the CCA’s national events, was introduced for provincial events at Saskatchewan’s provincial curling association, CURLSASK, in September 2013, and has received further updates for this season.

“This an example of the CCA working closely with Member Associations to ensure that curlers and curling fans are kept up to date with the latest in information and technology,” said CCA Chief Executive Officer Greg Stremlaw.
