The 28th annual Hemphill GM Open Funspiel takes place January 16, 17, and 18 (Friday night through Sunday afternoon) at the Silver Fox Curling & Yacht Club in Summerside. There are four divisions, and entry is limited to 32 teams, with a team entry fee of $140. Teams from “away” are required to pre-pay. Entry deadline is Monday, January 12. Open to everyone age 19 or over.
There will be a mussel feast on Friday night from 8:30 to 9:30, and Saturday afternoon entertainment from 2:30 to 5:30, plus a hip of beef buffet Saturday at 5 pm.

The Montague Curling Rink are again hosting the Clarey Cashspiel, which is open to all teams, including Seniors, Travelers, and Men’s and Women’s. There will be separate men’s and women’s divisions if there are sufficient numbers. The event goes January 30, January 31, and February 1, with an entry fee of $200/team. It’s open to the first 16 men’s and eight women’s teams paid, with prizes depending on the number of entries. Teams are guaranteed three games.

Relive the hippy-dippy days of Woodstock with the 15th annual Foxy Lady women’s funspiel, January 30 and 31 2015 at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside, sponsored by Credit Union Malpeque Bay and Ramsay Fish Holdings Ltd. Your entrance fee of $140/team will include Friday evening lunch and dancing in the lounge, David Doyle will be in charge so be prepared to Dance the night away!
Saturday meals: continental breakfast, lunch, mid after noon snack, and Saturday night banquet and prizes are all included, along with Saturday afternoon entertainment with Keith Broderick (more dancing).
DRAW TO BUTTON WINNER TAKE ALL:
One player name from each team will be picked out of a hat, and that player will be shooting for her team.
To keep the event fun, no provincial teams, regular evening league teams, or stopwatches are permitted.
