Cornwall and Montague rinks win 10th annual George’s Deck and Recovery Under 13 Bonspiel

The 10th annual George’s Deck and Recovery Under 13 Bonspiel was held today at the Montague Curling Club, with 12 teams taking part. The first and second place teams were from the Cornwall Curling Club, while a team from the host Montague club took third place honours. The event, which is free to participate in, and includes a free lunch, was started a decade ago by George Branton, owner of George’s Deck and Recovery, when his grandson, who had recently taken up the sport at age 11, told him that more events were needed for younger curlers.
