Team PEI Men, skipped for the second time at the Canada Games by Tyler Smith, are in the playoffs in Prince George. They finished round robin play with a 2-3 win-loss record, and advanced to a tiebreaker against Alberta this evening, which they won by a 9-8 score in an exciting contest, with Smith scoring a triple in the eighth end, but Alberta coming back to tie it up with three of their own in nine. PEI scored a single point in the 10th for the win.
Winning this game put Team PEI in the quarter-finals, at 4 pm Atlantic time on Thursday, against Manitoba.
