Four of the five teams have seen action after the opening draw this evening at the Advantage Communications / Curl PEI Provincial Junior Mixed Curling Championship being played at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside. The Veronica Smith team from Cornwall and Crapaud blanked the Donald DeWolfe team, which also has members from the same two clubs, by a 7-0 score, while the Mitchell Schut team, also from Cornwall and Crapaud ,downed the Owen Collier foursome from Montague 13-5. Yet to see action is the defending champion James Dalton team from the host club and the Cornwall Curling Club.

Round robin play continues on Saturday with draws at 11:30 am, and 3 and 6:30 pm, and wraps up Sunday with the 9:30 am draw. The top two teams square off in the 1 pm Sunday final.
