PEI eliminated from Championship Round at Canadian Fire Fighters

PEI, represented by the Summerside Fire Department, skipped by Leo Stewart, lost their Page 3 vs 4 playoff game to BC by a 6-3 score this evening at the Canadian Fire Fighters Curling Championship in Valleyfield and Huntington Quebec, and are now out of the competition. Alberta won the Page 1 vs 2 game, 11-5 over Manitoba and have earned a bye into the 2 pm Atlantic time final on Saturday, while Manitoba and BC will square off in the semi-final at 10 am Atlantic on Saturday, with the winner going to the final.

PEI finished round robin play tied for 4th place with a 6-4 win-loss record, and had to win two tiebreakers on Friday to advance to the Page 3 vs 4 game, beating Northern Ontario 7-5, and Southern Ontario 8-7.
