P.E.I. has strong showing at Canadian firefighters curling championship (Journal)

VALLEYFIELD, Que. – The Leo Stewart rink from Summerside enjoyed a strong showing at the 2015 Canadian firefighters curling championship here last week.

The rink finished fourth overall in the national competition.

The Island representatives are also returning home with some hardware. Stewart and MacFadyen were named all-stars at the skip and third stone positions, and Team P.E.I. won the team spirit award and the Maritime Cup, a competition between Atlantic teams.

Stewart was also presented with the prestigious Aubrey Neff Award.
