The semi-finals got underway at 9:30 Atlantic this morning at the Stu Sells Oakville Cashspiel in Oakville ON. The Brad Gushue rink from St. John’s, which includes PEI native Brett Gallant at second stone, takes on the Steve Laycock foursome from Saskatoon in one of the games, while Reid Carruthers from Winnipeg faces Jim Cotter of Vernon BC in the other. The final in the $27,200 event goes at 1 pm Atlantic.

The Adam Casey team from PEI went 3-3 in the event, while the Danielle Inglis squad from Ottawa, which includes PEI native Kiri Campbell, picked up one win against 3 losses in the women’s event.
