Birt won twice on Friday, scoring four points in the eighth and final end to double Jill Brothers of Halifax 8-4, and then pulling out a 6-4 decision over Halifax’s Emily Dwyer.After opening with a win, Shelly Bradley then dropped back-to-back games to fall to 1-2 (won-lost). She lost 9-3 to Jocelyn Nix of Kentville, N.S., and 8-2 to Halifax’s Emily Dwyer.
