Update: Cornwall startup delayed one day due to ice plant problem (now fixed)

The Cornwall Curling Club, which has the most members of any PEI curling facility, kicks off its on-ice season Wednesday evening, Oct. 14. This is a delay of one day, due to a problem with an ice plant part, which has now been replaced. Their annual free, no-obligation Learn to Curl adult curling lessons, Open House, and Registration, now goes from 6:30 to 8:30 pm Wednesday the 14th through Friday the 16th. Junior curlers are invited to signup for the regular junior instruction program. Any new adult or junior members wishing to join the Club are invited to tour the club, and  register during those same hours.

Daytime morning curling, where teams are made up as the players arrive, now starts on Thursday the 15th. League play starts on Oct. 19, with evening mixed single entry, semi-competitive and competitive team curling, Commercial League, and (planned) mixed doubles options available. Daytime options include Single Entry with teams made up as players arrive, team, and 2 person stick curling, as well as junior curling.

Those wishing to learn to curl are invited to attend any or all of the three nights, as there will be new and continuing classes each night. Show up 15 minutes early to register. Bring clean sneakers, and wear loose or stretchy pants and a light jacket. Loaner sliders and curling brushes will be provided.
