The Peter De Cruz rink won the $21,835  total purse CookstownCash spiel, which wrapped up today in Cookstown Ont., beating Ontario’s Brent Ross team 4-2 in the final. PEI’s Adam Casey team lost 6-2 in six ends to De Cruz foursome in semi-final play, while the Jamie Murphy squad from Halifax also lost their semi, 7-4 to Ross.  The Maritime rinks will each pocket $1415 for their semi-final finishes in the 30 team men’s side of the event. De Cruz goes home with $6850, while Ross pockets $3515.
