Birt, a Summerside native, and new rink of third stone Robyn Green, second stone Meaghan Hughes and lead Marie Christianson defeated 10-time provincial champion Kim Dolan twice on Saturday – 8-5 in the A section final and 10-4 to win the B section.

If Birt wins the C final on Sunday at 7 p.m., her team will be crowned provincial women’s curling champions, and will not have to play the championship round. If Birt doesn’t win the C final, she will have “double life” on Monday and her opponent will have to win both games.

In the C semifinals on Sunday at 2 p.m., Birt will take on Lisa Jackson while Dolan plays Shelly Bradley.
