It was a good evening for PEI teams at the Canadian Juniors in Stratford Ontario, with both the men’s team, skipped by Matthew MacLean out of the Maple Leaf Curling Club in O’Leary and the Cornwall Curling Club, and the women’s rink, skipped by Katie Fullerton from the Cornwall Curling Club, picking up their first  wins.

Team MacLean beat the Northwest Territories, skipped by Matthew Miller, by a 10-4 score, while the Fullerton foursome doubled Newfoundland and Labrador, skipped by Brooke Godsland, 8-4. Both Island rinks have 1-2 win-loss records going into Monday morning play, where PEI men face Saskatchewan and PEI women take on Ontario.
