Island rinks beat Yukon but miss ch’ship round, go to seeding round at Cdn. Jrs. (Guardian)

Prince Edward Island scored three triples Tuesday to defeat Yukon 10-4 in eight ends at the Canadian junior men’s curling championship in Stratford, Ont.P.E.I. (2-4), which includes lead Jordan MacLean, second Noah O’Connor and third Alan MacLean, misses out on the championship round. They will play on in the seeding round to determine rankings for the 2017 championships.

P.E.I.’s women’s team (2-4) finished  with triples in the final two ends to defeat Yukon 11-5 in eight ends.

The Katie Fullerton-skipped rink from the Cornwall Curling Club, which includes lead Aleya Quilty, second Sabrina Smith and third Chloe McCloskey, is also in the seeding round.
