PEI teams drop final games at Cdn. Jrs. (Journal)

STRATFORD, Ont. – P.E.I.’s entries dropped their final games in the Canadian junior curling championships on Friday morning.

Matthew MacLean’s rink from O’Leary and Cornwall fell behind 5-0 after three ends in a 9-2 loss to Nova Scotia in seeding round action. The result left the P.E.I. men’s representative with a 3-6 (won-lost) record.

Meanwhile, Katie Fullerton’s rink from Cornwall fell 8-3 to Northern Ontario to complete play at 4-5. After Fullerton tied the game 3-3 with a single point in the seventh end, Northern Ontario counted five in the eighth.
