Casey rink goes undefeated to repeat as PEI Tankard men’s champions

The Adam Casey rink from the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club and the Charlottetown Curling Complex has made it a clean sweep – winning all six of their games, including the three section finals against Charlottetown’s Jamie Newson rink, to repeat as winners of the PEI Tankard provincial men’s curling championship. They defeated Newson 8-1 in just five ends in this afternoon’s “C” final at the Charlottetown Curling Complex, scoring four in the first end, keeping Newson to 1 in the second, blanking the third, and then scoring a triple in four and stealing a single in five for a seven point lead, and the Tankard title. Winning all three sections of the modified triple knockout draw eliminated the need for the two game championship round.
