Casey records second win at Brier (Journal)

OTTAWA – P.E.I.’s Adam Casey rink snapped a four-game slide at the 2016 Tim Hortons Brier on Thursday morning.

Casey took advantage of the hammer to score three deuces in a 7-4 victory over the Northwest Territories’ Jamie Koe. Casey will take a 2-7 (won-lost) record into Thursday afternoon’s draw against Newfoundland and Labrador’s Brad Gushue (8-1), and Koe fell to 1-8.

The Casey rink will conclude the round robin against Manitoba’s Mike McEwen (6-2) on Friday morning.
