PEI opens with an extra-end win at Canadian Firefighters Ch’ship in Truro

The Summerside Fire Department team, skipped by Leo Stewart, picked up a win in the opening draw of the Canadian Firefighters Curling Championship, being played at the Truro Curling Club. The Island squad beat Team Manitoba, skipped by Len Krisko, by a 7-6 score in an extra end. PEI plays Northern Ontario at 10 am Sunday, and Saskatchewan at 3 pm.
