WCT lists new PEI women’s rink for 2016-2017 season

The World Curling Tour has listed the Charlottetown team of skip Robyn MacPhee, third Sarah Fullerton, second Meaghan Hughes, and lead Michelle McQuaid on its roster of women’s teams registered for the 2016-2017 season. Teams register to have their Tour points and winnings tracked. They are the only Island rink listed to-date. PEI native Kiri Campbell is on the Danielle Inglis rink from Ottawa.

MacPhee and Hughes played third and second, respectively, on the reigning PEI Scotties championship team which was skipped by Suzanne Birt, while Fullerton skipped her own rink in the Scotties. Michelle McQuaid played third for Fullerton when they won three consecutive PEI Pepsi Junior championships, beginning in 2009, and was on Birt’s 2014-2015 PEI women’s championship rink.
