The Montague Curling Rink is looking to hire a student curling coach.

Student Coach Job Description
Job Title: Student Junior Curling Coach
Reporting to: Junior Curling Coordinator and Club Manager
Job Purpose: To teach junior curlers basic curling skills and techniques. To lead junior curlers through practice sessions, intra-club games and preparation for tournaments.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Help plan warm-ups and coaching sessions for junior curlers
2. Lead warm-ups and coaching sessions for junior curlers
3. Help organize intra-club games for the junior curlers
4. Help ensure that junior curlers respect the club’s rules
5. Help ensure that the club and ice surface is clean and tidy at the end of the ice session
6. Help ensure safety of junior curlers while they are at the club
Key Working Relationships: The post holder will work under the supervision and guidance of the Junior Curling Coordinator and Club Manager. The post holder will also be able to bring their own ideas to the table and set forward their own initiatives. This is under the condition that they Junior Curling Coordinator agrees that the ideas and initiatives are appropriate for junior curlers. Regular communication with the Junior Curling Coordinator is essential.
Hours of Work: The post holder is expected to arrive at the club as soon as possible after school, when junior curling sessions are scheduled at the club. This is usually around 3:30pm. They are expected to stay until 5pm.
This is a paid position, hourly wage will be negotiated.
