Curl PEI has received $4,775 from the Canada Post Community Foundation to help bring the Egg Farmers’ Rocks & Rings, presented by Curling Canada program to many Island elementary schools,  and the Curling 101 program to Island curling facilities.
.
Egg Farmers’ Rocks & Rings will introduce students to the sport of curling in the school gymnasium, while Curling 101 will then invite the students and their families to try the sport at one of PEI’s seven dedicated curling facilities.  Curling is a unique sport in that families can play together on the same team and have a great time while being active.

“This grant will mean more Island children will be introduced to curling, and those students will have the opportunity  to share the sport with their families on the ice,”  noted Angela Hodgson, president of Curl PEI.|

“We are proud of our employees and retirees who have devoted many hours to raising awareness and funds,” says Deepak Chopra, President and CEO, Canada Post. “The Canada Post Community Foundation aims to help community groups deliver a difference in the lives of children in communities across Canada.
