Age change for Canadian Seniors Curling Ch’ship eligibility

At the 2016 Curling Canada Annual General Meeting, the age eligibility for the Canadian Senior Men’s and Women’s Curling Championships was changed, and will be in effect beginning with the 2017 Canadian Seniors.

The eligibility has changed from:

to:

  • 50 years of age and older as of and including June 30th of the year prior to the Canadian Senior Championships

This means that athletes eligible for the 2017 Canadian Seniors will have to have been born on or before June 30, 1966.

The 2017 Everest Canadian Senior Men’s and Women’s Curling Championships will take place in Fredericton NB from March 18 to 25, and will be played at two facilities: the Capital Winter Club and Willie O’Ree Place, with the men’s and women’s finals both scheduled for the latter.
