The PEI Pepsi Juniors Curling Championships, with male and female divisions for curlers under 21, take place at the Montague Curling Club from Dec. 27-31 2016, with entry deadline of Dec. 6, 2016, and entry fee of $170 per team plus participant fees of $39 per player. Entries must be made online at PEICurling.com.
Last year’s winners were the Katie Fullerton rink from Cornwall, and the Matthew MacLean foursome from the Maple Leaf and Cornwall clubs. This year’s winners advance to the 2017 Canadian Junior (Under 21) Men’s and Women’s Curling Championships, to be staged Jan. 21-29 at the Archie Browning Sports Centre in Esquimalt (a suburb of Victoria BC), using the facility’s hockey arena and six-sheet curling rink to decide which teams will represent Canada at the 2017 World Junior Curling Championships in PyeongChang, South Korea.
