Curling 101 coming up at Cornwall, Charlottetown for area students and their parents/guardians

Curl PEI is conducting Curling Canada Rocks and Rings in-school curling programs at many Island schools. As a follow-up, local curling clubs are offering FREE on-ice “Introduction to Curling” sessions for both students and their parents/guardians. These on-ice sessions are also open to attendees from schools in the area that have not had in-school sessions. Children must be at least 5 years of age to participate.

There are upcoming FREE on-ice sessions at the Cornwall Curling Club on Saturday Dec. 17 and at the Charlottetown Curling Club on Sunday Dec. 18. Times on both days are 1, 2, and 3 pm.

Please pre-register for these sessions by contacting the Cornwall Curling Club at [email protected] or (902) 566-4427 for Saturday sessions or the Charlottetown Curling Club at [email protected] or (902) 892-7467 for the Sunday ones. Let them know the time that is best for you, and they will confirm your registration.

Attendees are requested to bring clean sneakers to wear on the ice, to wear a warm sweater and a light jacket, plus gloves or mitts. A hockey or bicycle helmet is required for children 12 years of age or under.
