Junior Curling starting at Ch’town, Cornwall. New curlers, incl. those from Curling 101, welcome!

The holiday season is over, and it’s time to curl! Junior curling programs, including those in the Charlottetown and Cornwall areas, are getting underway across the Island, and all are open to new curlers including those who have participated in Rocks and Rings programs at schools, and/or on-ice at Curling 101 programs recently held at Montague, Charlottetown and Cornwall.

Here’s info on the Cornwall Curling Club junior program:

Their new year instructional program begins on Sunday, January 8 and runs through March 12.

Details:

Little Rockers (age 6-7) Sundays 3:30-4:15pm – $72.50 (all included)
Novice (age 8-10) Sundays 4:30-5:30pm & Tuesdays 5-6pm – $86.86 (all included)
The beginning curling program is divided into two sessions, before and after the Christmas break, and you can sign up for one or both. The program includes beginner instruction and, for those with more experience, the Novice category, normally in the 8-12 age range.

Here is info on the Charlottetown Curling Club’s Saturday morning “Rock Stars” program:

Saturday Mornings
Rock Stars (6-16) 9:45-11am – $100 (all included – instruction and snack)
January 7—March 18
The Rock Stars program is for participants to learn about the sport of curling in a fun environment.
They are pleased to confirm the on-ice instruction of the Rock Stars program is being done by older junior and young adult curlers from within the Charlottetown Curling Club.
