SUMMERSIDE – Veronica Smith and Robyn MacPhee will decide the Scotties provincial women’s curling championship.

Veronica Smith of the Charlottetown Curling Complex will face clubmate Robyn MacPhee in the C section final of the Scotties provincial women’s curling championship at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club Community Complex on Saturday at 6 p.m. Smith must defeat MacPhee to force a championship round. If MacPhee wins, she will have swept the A, B and C sections, and will be declared provincial champion.

The two rinks from the Charlottetown Curling Complex (CCC) will meet at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Community Complex on Saturday at 6 p.m.
MacPhee is undefeated at 3-0 (won-lost) in the modified triple-knockout format. If MacPhee defeats Smith in the C section final her rink will be declared provincial champions because she would have swept the A, B and C sections.
If Smith wins the C section final, she would then have to defeat MacPhee twice in Sunday’s championship round.
