P.E.I. completes play at Scotties on winning note (Journal)

ST. CATHARINES, ONT. – P.E.I.’s Robyn MacPhee rink from the Charlottetown Curling Complex completed round robin play at the 2017 Scotties Tournament of Hearts on a winning note Friday.

MacPhee defeated Saskatchewan’s Penny Barker 9-5 to complete round-robin play at the Canadian women’s curling championship at 3-8 (won-lost).
MacPhee counted a deuce in the fifth end to take a 5-2 lead into the break. After Saskatchewan scored a deuce in the ninth end to close to within 6-5, MacPhee scored three in the 10th to post the four-point victory.
