Casey beats N.S. at Brier, taking 5-3 record into afternoon game vs Team Canada (Journal)

ST. JOHN’S – The Adam Casey rink took an early lead and never trailed in its round-robin game at the 2017 Tim Hortons Brier on Wednesday morning.

Casey, who is skipping the Saskatchewan representative at the Canadian men’s curling championship, counted a single point in the 10th end to edge Nova Scotia’s Jamie Murphy 8-7.
Casey, a Seven Mile Bay native, will take a 5-3 (won-lost) record into Wednesday afternoon’s game against Team Canada’s Kevin Koe (4-2).
