Team UPEI wins Bronze at Univ. Ch’ships, Memorial takes men’s gold

At the U SPORTS/Curling Canada University Championships in Thunder Bay, Alberta’s Thomas Scoffin carried their momentum from Tuesday night’s win into today’s game against, once again, UPEI. The Golden Bears had a convincing 9-2 decision over Chris Gallant, but lost the Gold medal game 8-4 to the Memorial Sea-Hawks, skipped by Adam Boland. UPEI played Regina for the Bronze, winning 7-6.

 In the women’s event, Laurentian beat Lakehead  7-4 in the Gold medal game while University of Alberta beat Dalhousie 9-2 to take the Bronze.
