The Veronica Smith rink is heading back to PEI following a 6-1 quarter-final loss to Julie McEvoy of Halifax at the Spitfire Arms Cashspiel in Windsor NS, finishing the weekend with a 2-2 win-loss record. McEvoy takes on Stacie Curtis from NL in one semi, with Jill Brothers facing Kristen MacDiarmid, both from Halifax, in the other. It’s Kendal Thompson vs. Brent MacDougall in one men’s semi-final and Mike Callaghan vs. Alan O”Leary in the other.
