“A” finals for P.E.I. Pepsi Jr. Curling ch’ships go Thursday morning (Journal)

O’LEARY –  The Alex MacFadyen rink from the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club will meet Cornwall’s Mitchell Schut rink, and defending women’s champion Lauren Lenentine will meet the Annika Kelly rink Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the respective men’s and women’s ‘A” event qualifiers of the P.E.I. Pepsi Junior Curling championships.

The modified triple knock-out championships got underway at the Maple Leaf Curling Club Wednesday afternoon in O’Leary. There are four men’s teams and six women’s teams vying for the opportunity to represent P.E.I. at the 2018 New Holland Canadian Junior Curling Championships Jan. 21-28 in Shawinigan, Que.
