PEI Firefighters Curling Ch’ship starts this morning at the Silver Fox

The PEI Firefighters Curling Championship, hosted by the Miscouche Fire Department, gets underway at 9:30 this morning at the Silver Fox in Summerside, and wraps up on Sunday.

Defending champions are the Jerry Hughes team from the Cross Roads Fire Department.

 Defending champs: Skip Jerry Hughes, third Billy MacKinnon, second stone Davis Leslie, lead Amanda Brazil and fifth player Bill MacPhee. Canadian FireFighters Curling Association provincial director Peter MacDonald is on the right.

This year’s winners will represent P.E.I. at the 59th Canadian Firefighters Curling Association Muscular Dystrophy Hydrant championships March 29 to April 7, 2018, hosted by the Northern Ontario Firefighters Curling Association at the Port Arthur Curling Club in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
