Summerside FD team wins PEI Firefighters Curling Ch’ship (updated)

The PEI Firefighters Curling Championship, hosted by the Miscouche Fire Department, wrapped up today at the Silver Fox in Summerside, with the Summerside Fire Department team, skipped by Deputy Chief Tom Peters, beating Montague’s Jeff Nelson rink 8-4 in the final. Summerside led 4-2 after four ends and  6-4 after six.

The Summerside FD team will now represent P.E.I. at the 59th Canadian Firefighters Curling Association Muscular Dystrophy Hydrant championships March 29 to April 7, 2018, hosted by the Northern Ontario Firefighters Curling Association at the Port Arthur Curling Club in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
