PEI Men 1-1, Women 0-2 after Canadian Masters opening day

Play got underway Monday at the Canadian Masters Curling Championships, for curlers age 60 and over, being played in White Rock and Surrey BC. PEI is represented by the Bill Hope men’s team and the Sandy Hope women’s rink.

The PEI men won their opener 7-3 over Quebec before a 4-2 loss in a close game against a strong Ontario team. The Island squad plays New Brunswick and Northern Ontario today.

PEI’s women’s team lost their opener 8-4 to Manitoba and their second game 5-2 to Saskatchewan. They play Nova Scotia and New Brunswick today.
