Curl PEI Jr. Dev’t Tour Stop Two is set for Sunday in Crapaud

Stop Two, in Crapaud, for the Junior Development Curling Tour, which was postponed due to inclement weather, is on for Sunday, February 10 at 1 pm.

I just want to confirm that we have 6 teams ready to go for Sunday at 1 pm at the Crapaud Community Curling Club, with eight teams signed up.

Kay Atkinson, Curl PEI’s Chief Umpire, will be there at 1 pm to speak with the curlers and parents/family members about the Basic Rules and Etiquette of Curling.  Teams will hit the ice around 1:30 pm and play until about 3 pm (they will ring the buzzer at 2:50 pm to let the teams know to finish the end they are playing but not start a new one).  Theywill finish the afternoon with snacks for the teams.

Please remember to bring your entry fee, $50 per team or $12.50 if you are paying as individuals.

The Curling Tour is designed for non-competitive or newly-competitive junior curlers who were born on or after July 1, 2004.

Each team will play (at least) one game at each stop.  In addition to the games played there will be a guest speaker covering topics relevant to new curlers, coaches, and/or parents.

Registration is $50 per Team per tour date.  Registration closes 1 week before each tour date.
