The Royal Lepage Women’s Fall Classic will be held at the North Grenville Curling Club (NGCC) in Kemptville, ON November 1-4 2018.
The 5 sheet converted hockey arena provides curlers with experience on arena ice. The club was used for the World Curling Federation Sweeping Trials in 2016.
The Royal LePage OVCA Women’s Fall Classic began in 2006 and has grown to 24 teams and a purse of $20,000. The Fall Classic is part of the prestigious World Curling Tour and has become the largest women’s curling bonspiel east of Toronto, Ontario in Canada.
In 2017 Teams from Russia, Sweden and Canadian teams representing 7 provinces from Newfoundland to British Columbia competed for a $20,000 purse. Players who have previously won the event include Canada’s Olympic representative Rachel Homan. A number of players who competed in the Scotties Tournament of Hearts have played in this event. Two of the
European teams at the 2018 Olympics have also previously participated in this event.
The caliber of curlers we attract to this event is something we are very
proud of. We would be delighted to have a team or teams from PEI participate
in this year’s event.
