Ramsay and Fullerton win 15 and Under
The Investor's Group Provincial 15 and Under Curling Championships wrapped up Tuesday afternoon at the Charlottetown Curling Club. Sam Ramsay from the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside was a repeat winner on the boy's side, making an open hit for four points in the final end to defeat Charlottetown's Jonah MacDonald rink by a 9-4 score. MacDonald was ahead 3-1 after three ends, but Ramsay grabbed the lead with a triple in the fourth. The next end was blanked, and Ramsay stole one in the 6th. MacDonald had a single in end seven to narrow the gap to one, but missed an angle raise to hide behind cover, giving Ramsay the hit for four in the eighth end.

In the girl's final, 2007 Canada Games representative Sarah Fullerton from the Cornwall Curling Club scored a single in the second end and stole a deuce in the third to grab the lead. Katie Sharkey, from the Charlottetown Curling Club, responded with a single in the fourth, before Fullerton scored a triple in the fifth to lead 6-1. The Cornwall rink missed several hits in the seventh end, but Fullerton made a double takeout and rolled behind cover with her first shot, and was about to draw for three with her final stone when the Sharkey rink shook hands. Final Score: Fullerton 6, Sharkey 2.

Grant Furlotte from Investor's Group was on hand for the trophy presentation. In addition to the winners and runners-up, the "fairplay" awards were given out to skip Vanessa Dennis from the Charlottetown Curling Club, and winning boy's skip Sam Ramsay.

There will be little rest for many of the rinks in this competition, as many of them (some with slight lineup changes), including all four finalists, will be competing in the Claddagh Oyster House Provincial 17 and Under championships, which start Thursday at the Cornwall Curling Club.
