Ch’town club to host competitive curling discussions

The Charlottetown Curling Club will host two meetings to discuss all aspects of Provincial curling competitions on the Island.  The meeting on Tuesday March 10th at 7:00 pm will deal with seniors and mixed playdowns while on Tuesday March 24th at 7:00,  mens and womens playdowns will be discussed.

It is hoped that the curlers and the PEICA can come to a consensus on such issues as:

1.  A competitive committee for the PEICA which would determine the playdown format each year based on location number of teams.

2.  A Head Official appointed to all Island competitions.

3.  A designated provincial icemaker that works with each club to provide the best possible ice conditions.

4.  Any other concerns that you may have as well as concrete positive ideas that could be implemented for the 2009-2010 season.

Please forward your ideas and suggestions so we can set up a framework for the meetings to Bill Hope care of the Charlottetown Curling Club at ccclub@pei.aibn.com

Thanks,
Bill Hope
