Junior men all 1-1, while Jenny McLean rink is 2-0 at Canada Games Trials

After two rounds of play at the Canada Games Curling Trials in Charlottetown, all four junior men’s rinks have a win and a loss. In the Junior women’s section, the Jenny McLean foursome from Summerside lead the standings with a 2-0 win-loss record, edging the Leah Deveau rink from Montague 8-7 in her opener, and the Amanda MacLean team from O’Leary 5-4 in the afternoon draw. MacLean, and Cornwall’s Veronica Smith team are at 1-1, while Deveau is 0-2.

Double round round robin play in both divisions goes at 9 am, 2 pm and 6 pm on Saturday, and wraps up with the 9 am draw on Sunday. The top two teams in each division will advance to the finals,  at 2 pm Sunday if no tiebreakers are needed, or 2 pm Monday if at least one tiebreaker is required. The winning teams will advance to the Canada Games,  February 11-27, 2011 in Halifax, at the Mayflower Curling Club.
