Charottetown’s Bill Acorn, second on the 1986 Canadian Senior Legion Curling championship rink which included Lorne Burke at skip, third Bud Lund, and lead John Stewart, passed away on Saturday, in his 80th year. Funeral mass is 10 am today at St. Pius X Church. Acorn worked at the Charlottetown Driving Park for 65 years, and has been Charlottetown’s Citizen of the Year, as well as Legionnaire of the year.
