The September 2010 to September 2012 Rules of Curling for General Play, along with a summary of the changes made to both the General and Officiated play rules, is now available for viewing and printing (in PDF form) at the Canadian Curling Association’s website.
The complete Rules of Curling for both General and Officiated Play can be purchased through the CCA’s online store, from the PEI Curling Association, or at curling club pro shops.
Rule changes for General play include adoption of World Curling Federation wording for some rules, a rule mandating stone removal for a Free Guard Zone infraction, and the removal of an infraction for re-touching a stone prior to the hog line on delivery.
Rule changes for Officiated play include new timeout rules, changes to accommodate eight end officiated games, and replacing the coin toss with a draw to the button for determining last rock advantage in the first end.
