Reception held for new Canadian Mixed Champions

A large crowd was in attendance Monday evening to honour the new Canadian Mixed curling champions, the Robert Campbell rink. CBC Compass was doing live coverage, and interviewed third Rebecca Jean MacPhee-MacDonald, second Robbie Doherty, and lead Jackie Reid before the reception, and skip Robert Campbell after. The curlers were piped into the fireplace lounge at the Charlottetown Curling Club, where  Master of Ceremonies Craig Mackie introduced the new Canadian champions, along with Tourism and Culture Minister and MLA for York-Oyster Bed, Robert Vessey, and Charlottetown Deputy Mayor Stu MacFadyen, who each presented the curlers with tokens of appreciation from the province and the city, respectively. Robert Campbell then took the microphone, thanking his team for coming up with the shots needed all through the event in Morris Manitoba.
